lyrics

Born from Collision
Elliptical galaxy
Deep in its heart
lies a supermassive black hole
x ray light
emerges from the cooling gas
shockwaves produced in
supersonic velocity

No star is born
Cosmic eruption
recycling
the matter
from dead stars
this is the
graveyard
of two galaxies
forgotten in the dimilight

Unable to reform from the control of the black hole
that could have formed many times suns far greater
than our own
the gases were removed ejected by the volcano

outshone by the spiral ones
dust remains from glory long gone
fading light disappearing
from the war that has left nothing
the gluttonous giant in the center
has forsaken all hopes of growth

nearing the end and crumbling to its fall
evolution has ceased for this great beast
the promise of mortality has come again
and with it comes the transfer of energy
elsewhere in space another galaxy shall form
and so shall the ellipse be forgotten

As the black hole consumes
Messier 87
and the stardust leaves the nucleus
younger galaxies will take its place
for death comes to all
